I’ve been to this place more than a couple times now and has become my go to for South Indian cuisine. It’s not a fancy place and has limited sitting capacity but food is tasty and decently priced. During our recent visit, owner - a genuine and nice person - came to greet us, gave us good recommendations and we had a nice little chat. We ordered Kuzhi Paniyaram, Medhu wada, Idly and their Mega (3 ft) Masala dosa. Everything along with Sambhar and both coconut and red chutneys were really good!

Probably one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve had in a while. The hospitality was amazing. The owner came to us and was very kind. The butter chicken was really good. I also highly recommend the Indian coffee they serve. Not many Indian restaurants serve it around here and it is a gem. I didn’t think to take a picture until I was all done eating everything. But, here are some pics nonetheless. Overall, a great classic place that I would go to again :)

Mega Dosa!! We had to move to a bigger table to eat it. The butter chicken was awesome! Right when you're seated bottled water is already out for you! All the staff were super sweet, welcoming and fun to chat with. Everything was seasoned perfectly and the price was super fair out the door for 57 for mega dosa (could feed four) , medhu vadai, butter chicken (included rice), lime drink (sweet and sour which was delicious like home made natural sparkling Gatorade), and a Coke. It is a smaller restaurant so I assume it can get loud but we went on a Sunday night and there was only one or two other patrons. We did over hear an issue that someone had with a delivery but from what we gathered it seemed pretty silly "we don't sell or make pizza so If you got a pizza it wasn't from us" seems like a couple of the negative posts are issues with grub hub or Uber eats... We'll definitely be back and we're bringing friends. Great excuse to get out of Seattle and get some great food at fair prices. Images and video of mega dosa and butter chicken attached.

I placed a catering order from Samburna for a housewarming event and the food was amazing! I want to take a moment to thank Madhi who helped throughout the process. The food was delicious, prepared and packed with care, it was ready on time and had great quality. The quantity of chutney and sambar were ample; the idli, vada, puri, rasmalai and payasam were great. The chole curry was the highlight, it was delicious! I’m extremely thankful to Madhi and team at Samburna for making the food and our event special. Thank you and HIGHLY RECOMMEND for catering!

Loved the ambience and the food was even better. Amazing South Indian food and good filter coffee. They have dosa Wednesdays which is like 4 dosas, 1 mini uttappam and payasam for 15. Also their staff is wonderful and very polite.

We ordered Samburna special mega dosa. It was good, the sambhar was delicious. Definitely going back to try something else. Edit: we went back on a Wednesday and had 5 varieties of dosa for dosa night. Go with an empty stomach so you can make the most of it

Took a take away, This is definitely not chicken 65... and oily noodles. Had a horrible experience.. 1/5 review in 2019. Updated review 08.21.2022 Normally i don't revisit a restaurant where my initial response was terrible. But seeing so many positive reviews. Revisited the restaurant twice, and both of the times, the food was excellent. They have improved significantly. I am changing my review from 1/5 to 5/5. Keep up the good work and please maintain the same quality.

I visited Samburna Indian Restaurant with my husband on Saturday evening. It’s a small establishment with limited seating. Although we were able to get a table, it took a while for our order to be served. However, when the food arrived, it was worth the wait. We ordered medhu vada, chicken Chettinad with Malabar parotta, and Szechwan fried rice. The medhu vada was nice and crunchy. I particularly loved the Chettinad chicken curry with Malabar parotta. The fried rice was decent but could have been better. Overall, we were happy with the food, though the service could use improvement. In terms of ambiance, it’s not a fine dining restaurant. The seating is basic, and no extraordinary efforts have been made to enhance the looks. However, if you want to enjoy flavorful food and don't mind the ambiance, this is the place to go.
